The 4 foot deep bottom here drops off after 7 feet out, down to like 30 feet deep at the rope line. Roped area was generously sized for things like this. There is a very small beach in the corner for little kids where it is shallow. Lots of lovely fish and freshwater muscles on rocks, plus some seaweed after the dropoff but not so much it's gross (fun to swim through underwater). Water was clear and a great temp in mid August when we went.

Also a great view of the lake! Plus a boat launch.

It's a great little park to relax, watch the lake & swim! swim! swim! There's a lifeguard on duty & a beach area for the little ones. It's a grassy park with a lot of benches & some trees for shade. It's a really nice place to spend a quiet peaceful time or picnic with the family at the head of the lake in Hammondsport.

Late Fall.... and it was still beautiful. Could have just sat on the bench and let time pass and never got bored.

There's also a boat lunch and docks.

The boat rental company seems to have over run both of the quaint swimming parks of Hammondsport. Now it feels like serene lake vibes, careless frolicking and peaceful lake enjoyment is actually working around the high quantity of 8 -10 rental boats going in and out, checkins, check outs morning and afternoon , staff, and signs.. lots of signs on an otherwise precious and historically ores even train Depot of years gone by.

Lovely spot to enjoy public access to real lake edge swimming off a dock. I hate those artifical beaches, I want to use my mask and flippers and see natural bottom and fish! This area has life guards but they were chill.

Very, very pleasant. Stopped and picked up fast food for lunch and enjoyed eating and watching the sites. Kids playing on the lawn and swimming, people walking dogs, and boats of all kinds in the lake.
